Though most of his accolades have been relegated to the music world, award winning song writer, producer, and vocalist in the group The BASIQS, and currently DEATH STARSKY; GAGE has turned his love of pop culture and pop art into some truly interesting and at times humorous works.

"I like to break iconic characters out of their expected appearance or surroundings. I want to show people why these characters are iconic outside of their known medium. To allow people to see a Storm Trooper helmet not just for it's relation to Star Wars, but for the design of it, the curves, the flow, the marriage of shapes and contours, the balance of light and dark etc... .

In my Dark Angel piece inspired by the character of Bruce Wayne, I wanted to really focus on the 'everyman' element of the character while eluding to that special something that makes him more than just a man with a mask on, that hint of divinity. All my pieces come from a place of pure love of creation. I enjoy what I do and hope that others feel the connection to these characters and my re-imaging of them as I do.
